But is this true?

Privacy

This site keeps almost nothing about you.

Reading

The site counts visits, one number a day for each page, the site that sent you, and the words you search for. These counts are not tied to you. There are no cookies and no logins. Your light or dark choice stays in your own browser.

Writing to the author

If you send a note at the end of a paper, the site passes your note, and your email address if you gave one, to the author in a private Telegram message. The site does not keep a copy. Telegram holds the message the way it holds any chat. "This helped me" sends only the paper's name, with no sign of who tapped it.

The email list

If you sign up, the site keeps your email address, and nothing else, until you leave. You first get one email with a link to confirm. If you do not confirm within a week, the address is deleted.

Once a week, in weeks with a new paper, you get one email. Cloudflare sends it for the site. The site does not track whether you open it.

Leaving

Every email has a link to leave. One tap deletes your address from the list. There is no copy kept.
